Henri de Toulouse Lautrec
Henri de Toulouse Lautrec (1864-1901) was a nineteenth century French artist. His renowned posters for the Moulin Rouge in Paris elevated advertising design to the status of the fine arts, disturbing the art historical boundary between high and low art. This was a significant shift in the history of art which had a great influence on many later artists. His oeuvre pays great witness to Belle Epoque Paris.
