Martin Waldseemuller, known as well with the following name Martin Waldseemueller, is a draughtsman born in 1470 in Schallstadt, Germany and who died in 1522 in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, France. Martin Waldseemuller belonged to the map art style. He mainly worked during the renaissance period in the 16 century.
