Bataille de Denain

The Battle of Denain, 24 July 1712 is a painting by Jean Alaux, painted in 1839. It is one of the works in the Battle Gallery at the Château de Versailles in France. The Battle of Denain is an oil on canvas, 4.65 m high and 5.43 m long. The painting depicts an episode from the Battle of Denain in 1712, during the War of the Spanish Succession. The work is located in the Gallery of Battles in the Château de Versailles. As the paintings in the gallery are arranged in chronological order, it is placed between those depicting the Battle of Villaviciosa (1710) and the Battle of Fontenoy (1745).
