Brick in the Moonlight is a photograph by Gustave Le Gray taken in the summer of 1856 in Normandy. Printed on albumen paper from a glass plate negative, it was presented in November at a meeting of the Photographic Society of London, then exhibited in December with great success (800 orders at 16 shillings each).
