Entry of Napoleon into Berlin, 27 October 1806 is a painting by the French painter Charles Meynier (1763-1832) dating from 1810. This historical painting depicts Napoleon's entry at the head of his troops through the Brandenburg Gate after his brilliant victories at Jena and Auerstedt during his Prussian campaign. On 27 October 1806, the sun was shining on the capital. Surrounded by his troops, Napoleon took control of the city. The Brandenburg Gate can be seen from Pariser Platz. In the foreground, Napoleon's entrance with many onlookers.
As a military painter, Charles Meynier depicted the epic of the Grande Armée under the Empire using the text of the official French communiqués published in the 21st Bulletin de la Grande Armée of 28 October 1806 (Le Bulletin de la Grande armée: 21e Bulletin, 28 octobre 1806), moved to Berlin just after Napoleon's victory:
