Nature morte : sucrier, poires et tasse bleue

Still life: sugar bowl, pears and blue cup is an oil painting on canvas measuring 30 x 41 centimetres, produced between 1865 and 1866 by the French painter Paul Cézanne. It is kept at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. The still life consists of a sugar bowl, three pears and a blue cup, painted with thick, vigorous brushstrokes. The painting, part of the Zola collection, was destined for the Musée d'Orsay in 1982, but was not exhibited until 2004: in previous years, it had been loaned to the Musée Granet in Aix-en-Provence and the Louvre in [...]
