Willem Blaeu, known as well with the following name Willem Janzsoon Blaeu, is a draughtsman born in 1571 in Alkmaar, Netherlands and who died in 1638 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Willem Blaeu belonged to the map art style. He mainly worked during the classical period in the 17 century.
