François Gérard : his life as an artist

François Gérard began his artist training in Beaux-Arts de Paris, France. Then François Gérard continue his training and study with Jacques-Louis David, Augustin Pajou, Nicolas Guy Brenet. He became friend or had a working relationship with Charles de Steuben. He influenced the work of some other artists such as Ary Scheffer. Among his students and apprentices, we noted that he taught Charles de Steuben, Joseph Karl Stieler, Adèle Grasset, Louise Duvidal de Montferrier.
