Johan Christian Dahl began his artist training in Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen, Denmark. Then Johan Christian Dahl continue his training and study with Christian August Lorentzen. He became friend or had a working relationship with Caspar David Friedrich. Among his students and apprentices, we noted that he taught Thomas Fearnley, Peder Balke.
