Theodore Robinson began his artist training in Beaux-Arts de Paris, France. Then Theodore Robinson continue his training and study with Carolus-Duran, Jean-Léon Gérôme. He became friend or had a working relationship with Claude Monet, John Henry Twachtman, Julian Alden Weir. He influenced the work of some other artists such as William Blair Bruce.
