Anglers is an oil painting on panel (15.7 × 24.4 cm) produced in 1883 by the painter Georges Seurat and now in the Musée d'Art Moderne in Troyes. The scene shows several fishermen wearing headgear angling in the Seine. They are sitting on the river bank. In the middle of the river, two other fishermen are angling from a boat. This is a preparatory work, a study for Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte. The painting entered the collections of the Musée d'Art Moderne de Troyes in [...]
